First Lutheran Church has recently overhauled two distinct kitchen spaces for commercial use. Located a mile south of downtown Houston, we have a second floor kitchen that is only a cold prep kitchen, ideal for juicers, ice cream makers, sandwhich and salad preparers, etc. There is no vent hood, oven, or stove, and there is a reach-in fridge. No freezer is provided.

This kitchen has been in operation since April, 2020 and is fairly full. But if you have a need for cold prep space, don't hesitate to reach out. This kitchen is 600+ square feet. We have an electric dumb waiter so you can get heavy food stuffs up and down easily.

Our most recently renovated kitchen is on the first floor of the same building. This kitchen is perfect for bakers. It has a double stack South Bend convection oven, a four-burner stove, tables, shelving, all needed sinks, and an adjacent walk-in cooler. It is also about 600 sq. feet. This kitchen will be available in June, 2023. It will likely be a shared space unless a client is interested in exclusive use. The grease trap, vent hood, and flooring are all news. I am open to 24/7 access.

Each kitchen has its own mini-split AC unit so they stay nice and cool.

Pricing

My base rate for the cold kitchen is $15/hour plus storage costs. My base rate for the hot kitchen is $25/hour during peak hours (9am-4pm) and $20 during other hours. I charge $2/cubic foot per month for storage of equipment, food, packaging, etc. I absorb the cost of utilities. I will have a preference for fewer tenants at a higher number of hours.
