Located at 230 Somerville Ave in the heart of Somerville’s vibrant food community, ComKit is a developing commercial kitchen concept designed to support both growing and established food businesses.

We’re currently in the final stages of bringing our first production kitchen online — a fully equipped, thoughtfully laid out space with commercial-grade equipment, generous prep areas, cold and dry storage, and access to a dedicated loading bay for smooth deliveries and workflow. We expect to begin onboarding our first operators within the next 60–90 days.

What’s a bit different about ComKit is that we’re building this with flexibility in mind. Rather than locking into a fixed model too early, we’re working closely with operators to shape how the space is ultimately used. The initial kitchen may operate as a dedicated single-user production space or as a shared commissary, depending on what best supports the right partners.

Beyond this first kitchen, we’re actively planning additional spaces within the facility, including custom-fit kitchen suites. Early operators will have the opportunity to weigh in on layout, equipment, and flow — helping us design spaces that reflect real production needs, not just assumptions.
