El Alba Cooperative is a mission-driven, shared-use commissary kitchen located in the heart of north Aurora. We proudly serve immigrant, BIPOC, and under-resourced food entrepreneurs by providing affordable access to a commercial-grade kitchen, professional development support, and a thriving community of culinary peers.

Our newly renovated facility includes:
- Multiple workstations for concurrent users
- Commercial-grade stoves, ovens, dishwashers, sinks, refrigerators, and freezers
- Storage options (monthly and temporary cold/dry)
- In-house Facility Supervisor and training protocols
- Opportunities to promote your business through our coop’s retail food kiosk, catering referrals, and marketing

We operate on a flexible schedule (hourly, weekly, monthly, or quarterly options available), transparent pricing, and a reservation system that ensures fairness for all users. We are currently accepting new users and are proud to prioritize values of equity, culture, and collective economic growth.

Pricing

El Alba Cooperative offers flexible plans to meet the needs of emerging and established food businesses. All use includes access to a commercial-grade facility with refrigeration, storage, prep stations, and sanitation equipment. Training on equipment, cleaning supplies, water, trash, and grease disposal are included.

All users must carry all appropriate licensing, certifications, and general liability insurance, and comply with El Alba’s equipment use and kitchen safety protocols.

Standard Kitchen Use Rates (Starting September 2025):
- Hourly: $27/hour
- Weekly Plan (10–25 hours): $22/hour
10–15 hours/week: $220–$330
15–20 hours/week: $330–$440
25 hours/week (max): $550
- Monthly Plan (up to 40 hours): $800/month
- Quarterly Plan (3 months, up to 40 hrs/month): $2,160 total

Storage Fees:
- Monthly Refrigerator Shelf (22”x24”x18”): $30/month
- Temporary Refrigerator Shelf (48-hr block): $15
- Monthly Freezer Shelf (14”x24”x22”): $40/month
- Temporary Freezer Shelf (48-hr block): $20

Security Deposit: $100 required for all new users
