Description

The Buckman Community Kitchen is a small commissary kitchen operating out of the Social Justice Action Center in inner Southeast Portland. BCK will act as an incubator for emerging small food businesses, particularly those led by members of Portland’s immigrant communities. Our hope is that our kitchen becomes a hub for enterprises and groups that are interested in building the local food justice movement and making great food for the community.

Our kitchen is available to rent part time at a rate of $20/hr during peak hours and $15/hr off peak with several hourly packages. Facilities include a 3 compartment sink, food prep tables, a gas stove and oven with class 2 hood, storage racks and two refrigerators, one for food prep and for cold storage that is available to rent for an additional fee.

We are looking to launch our kitchen by 1/1/2026 and are accepting kitchen renters to start on that date, or possibly before under the right circumstances.
