KitchenWorks is the culmination of many years of work and research for the sole purpose of bringing a licensed, shared-use commercial kitchen to Wichita Falls. The vision is to provide a space that serious food entrepreneurs can develop and grow their business in a collaborative environment. It will be the ideal space to build a food-based business, test a culinary concept, hold food tastings, and host events centered around food and its preparation.

One of the largest barriers to entry for food businesses is the expense of building out or leasing a commercial kitchen. KitchenWorks eliminates that barrier by providing a fully equipped kitchen for regular use by members and as a “use-as-needed” for users with more flexible needs.

Users of the kitchen can be food truck operators, caterers, prepared meal businesses, bakers, and other entrepreneurs who bake/make small batch food products for sale to the general market for whom a central commissary is often required. This will include individuals whose business has outgrown their home kitchens but who haven’t grown to a size to justify the expense of creating their own commercial kitchen. Additional users might include individuals currently using restaurant, church, or non-profit kitchens but who have outgrown the limitations found in these arrangements.
