Description

The LaunchSpace Community Kitchen features a regulatory-compliant shared-use commercial kitchen designed to support food processors, caterers, food trucks, and small food businesses with access to professional equipment, storage, and technical assistance. Operated by LaunchSpace, the kitchen functions both as an incubator for food entrepreneurs and as an educational and demonstration space for cooking classes, workforce training, and youth programs. Priority access is provided to kitchen members, career-readiness program participants, and community food access initiatives.

Beyond business incubation, the kitchen serves as a welcoming community gathering space, hosting cooking classes, kids’ camps, guest chef demonstrations, community dinners, and private events. Programming emphasizes sustainable, seasonal food systems, including a seed-to-product pathway connecting community gardens and small-scale agriculture to value-added food production. The adjacent gymnasium and gathering areas expand capacity for pop-up dinners, catered events, and special occasions, strengthening local food access, workforce development, and the regional food economy.

Pricing

Payment & Fee Structure
Set up fee: $75: Includes Facility tour and equipment training, Documentation walkthrough, Food Corridor account access, and scheduling privileges.

Rental Rates:
$10/hour: Prep Area and dish pit, mandatory for full rental time + 1 hour clean up
$25/hour: Shared Kitchen Access (requires booking specific equipment per your SOP and sharing space with other members)
$50/hour: Exclusive Full Kitchen Rental
$5/hour: Smallwares and equipment access, and a basic prep area set up: 1 prep table, 1 speedrack, 1 utility cart.

Membership Storage: $50/month: Covers smallwares and equipment access, and the following equipment and storage basics:
(1) 5-foot work table
(1) Speed rack
(1) Utility cart
(1) 5-foot shelf space in each of our dry storage, walk-in refrigerator, and walk-in freezer areas.
Additional tables and speedracks can be rented at $5/hour

Other Storage Rates:
Dry Storage Cage: $45/month
Lockable Bin: $10/month
Additional Shelf (Fridge/Freezer): $25/month
Speed Rack (Fridge/Freezer): $10/day
Custom Storage: Rates determined by Kitchen Manager
