Masala Lab is an Fusion Indian restaurant located in NE PDX (MLK between NE Alberta and Killingsworth) with available hours for kitchen use when we are not in service or using at as our own commissary kitchen for our food cart ventures. This is primarily Monday all day, Tue & Wed after 5PM, and all days between 11PM and 7AM. We are also open to use by chefs who want to do pop-ups out of the space on the nights we're not open (Mon - Thu).
We have a fairly well equipped kitchen with all the basic equipment you could need - fryers, gas range burners, induction burners, a robo coupe, vitamix, etc. We currently don't have overflow cold storage for storing product between times of use but are working on getting some more reach in refrigerators for use by renters. The same applies for overflow dry storage. We are also open to you providing your own reach-in fridge that is dedicated and just paying a bit extra to cover the electricity cost.
One major feature of our kitchen space is that it is a 100% dedicated GF facility.
We are charging $25/hr for basic use of the space with a preference given to those who want to use it for longer time periods - every 8 hours/week will be discounted to $170. Cold and dry storage cost varies depending on your needs.
