Description

The Mangrove is an open workspace, learning annex, and cultural development center that supports local Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) creative producers, makers, workers, and entrepreneurs.

Mangrove Shared Kitchen Membership provides access to our 1200 sq. ft. commercial kitchen which features 7 shared workstations for both hot and cold production. Kitchen Membership also gives you access to our online business resources, classes, and events calendar as well as hands on business mentorship and supply chain support.

Pricing

Kitchen Membership provides access to our 1200 sq. ft. commercial kitchen which features 3 shared workstations with 4-6 burner gas ranges, gas grill and/or flat top, combi (Rational) ovens, reach in refrigerators, stainless steel worktables and all the pots, pans, and small tools you might need for a given shift. Mangrove Kitchen membership also gives you access to our online business resources, classes, and events calendar.

Rates range from $15-28 per hour for hot and cold stations. Members have access to a range of cooking utensils including pots, pans and cutting boards during their bookings. Tabletop equipment like Robot Coupes, Vitamix blenders and stand mixers are available for a maximum of $5/hour per booking for certain plans.

All plans include 24-hour surveillance, easy delivery and loading, and access to facilities based on booking times. Dry, cooler, and freezer storage may be accessible based on plan type and availability, subject to additional cost. 

*Subsidized rates available for local members residing in 11226, 11225 and NYCHA residents. Please reach out for more information regarding those discounted rate.  

All members must have the following prior to gaining access to the facilities:
1. NYC Food Protection Certification
2. General Liability Insurance
3. NY Tax ID
4. Obtain the appropriate license or permit from DOHMH and/or NY Agriculture & Markets
