Overview
The Momentum Center is a nonprofit 501(c)3 that is creating a community where every person is fully visible and connected. We do that by offering social recreational opportunities to people with mental illness, addictions, and disabilities. We also address the social determinants of mental health through community conversations and cultural immersion experiences. We operate centers in Grand Haven and in Holland, Michigan.
Within our Grand Haven facility is the Vous Café. The Vous Cafe is a unique and vibrant dining concept that offers a welcoming environment for all. Our cafe is designed to be a place for social integration where the general public can share space with our members in a way that breaks down stereotypes and dismantles stigma. It also provides a soft entry point for individuals who might benefit from our services.

• Location: 401 N 7th Street, Grand Haven (former Rendezvous Restaurant). Visible from US31. Accessible entry and restroom.
• Off street Parking: Spots for 55 cars with 2 handicapped spots.( There is the capacity for 70 spots, but 14 are currently rented out.
• Dining: Modern and inviting with a focus on comfort and community. Booths and table providing seating for 52, picnic tables available for outdoor dining in warm weather
• Kitchen: Full commercial kitchen with all brand new equipment, large walk in cooler and freezer.

• Low Barrier to Entry: No capital start up costs. Set fee for licensing that can be re-evaluated over time.
• Impact: Join a network that supports mental health, addiction recovery, and disability services.
• Customer Base: The Momentum Center has significant support in the community and a donor and volunteer base ready to support the Vous. Regular Member programming operates 5-6 days a week, and on a monthly basis 400 Momentum Center members, care-givers and volunteers visit. Public programs of the Momentum Center also bring in additional 50-100 people per program. Former customers of the Rendezvous Restaurant have also expressed much interest in the new restaurant.
• Inclusive Model: The building has a reputation for being the place anyone can go. The Vous Café provides an opportunity to continue that legacy.
• Promotion: The Momentum Center will activity promote the Vous Café.
