Watertown Farm Market Kitchen (WFMK), a commercial shared-use incubator kitchen, open since 2010, is located on Main St. in Watertown, WI (between Madison and Milwaukee), and we want to help you start a small food business. Our 900 sq ft kitchen and all its resources (appliances, equipment, baking sheets, plus paper & cleaning products) are available by reservation to our registered licensed producers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You bring & store your own specialty equipment, small wares, etc. There is no minimum usage fee charged at our kitchen, so we’re a great solution for those who need weekly, seasonal, or even occasional use of the facility. WFMK offers dry, refrigerated and frozen storage options. We help you walk through the licensing process with state or local agencies, and can offer advice on packaging, labeling, marketing and selling. We reserve the right to decline new customers if any new process would negatively affect other customer operations.
To become a customer at WFMK, you will need to successfully complete a ServSafe course, obtain an appropriate state or local license, secure proof of liability insurance, and pay $100 security deposit. Our hourly rate is $18/hour booked/used; any monthly hours over 40 are billed at $12/hour. Other charges are $10/month for a single dry storage locker, or $15 for a large cart.
Our past & current customers include bakers, candy makers, beverages & condiment bottlers, food carts & caterers, canned preserves & pickled producers, and packagers of dry mixes.
