Operated by Wimberly’s Roots—a Georgia Grown member and nonprofit committed to reducing food insecurity through farm-fresh food and hands-on cooking education—our Community Kitchen provides a fully equipped, certified commercial space for local food entrepreneurs to grow and thrive.

This shared-use kitchen is designed to support small business development, promote community wellness, and strengthen the local food economy. The facility also features limited equipment that can function as a honey house, creating added opportunities for local beekeepers and advancing sustainable agriculture across Northeast Georgia.

Our professional-grade kitchen includes:
• Tilting skillet
• Gas range & grill
• Convection oven
• Cooking kettles
• Hobart mixers
• Proofer
• Multiple prep tables

Storage Options
Flexible dry, refrigerated, and frozen storage available for rent.

Permitted Uses
Approved businesses certified by the Georgia Department of Agriculture for low-risk, packaged food production only such as:
• Packaged Baked goods
• Honey
• Jams, jellies, and preserves
• Candies
• Pickled items
• Dried spices and seasonings
• Select sauces
• Select beverages

Prohibited Uses
• Food Trucks
• Hot meal service from the kitchen
• Catering operations

Pricing

7 days per week: $20/hr

Minimum Monthly use of kitchen - 3 hours or a $60 minimum use fee
