Description

The Stir is the Food Hub for the Kamloops region. The Stir is a project of the Kamloops Food Policy Council and member of the BC Food Hub Network. The project is funded by the BC Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Fisheries.

We provide kitchen facility rentals, business mentorship, and community support to help local food entrepreneurs expand their business to reach a wider market than they would otherwise be able to break into.

The Stir is more than just a building. The Stir is a network of shared food hub facilities, support, and resources spread out across Kamloops and the surrounding region. Acting like a mycelium - a network of microscopic strands connecting mushrooms and the surrounding ecosystem - The Stir works collaboratively to connect and strengthen our regional food system.

Pricing

We offer tiered hourly pricing based on the total number of hours rented per week to help you save money as you grow!

Stir Maker Level 1 (1- 5 hours per week): $26 / Hour
Stir Maker Level 2 (6-19 hours per week): $22 / Hour
Stir Maker Level 3 (20-39 hours per week): $18 / Hour
Stir Maker Level 4 (40+ hours per week): $16 / Hour

There is a $100 annual fee to become a Stir Maker. This fee includes coaching to help you obtain your Interior Health permits and get you ready to start cooking!
